As part of Hakanto Contemporary's ongoing reflection on the theme "Patriotic Land, Ecological Earth", the centre invited an artist to respond through images, offering a personal perspective shaped by emotion, observation and critical reflection.
This publication was released on the occasion of Sedran'ny tany, an exhibition by Mialy Razafintsalama, presented at Hakanto Contemporary in 2024, with the valued support and collaboration of Filatex Enregy.

This publication offers an immersion into the artistic practice of Alexandre Gourçon, exploring his sources of inspiration, the precision of his gestures, and his singular relationship with materiality and the fold.
A long-standing collaborator and artistic companion of Hakanto Contemporary, Alexandre Gourçon has participated in several exhibitions presented by the institution. Most recently, he presented his monographic exhibition AVEC ELLES, curated by Joël Andrianomearisoa, as part of HISTOIRES DE FAMILLE, the inaugural season of Hakanto Contemporary's new venue, presented in September 2024 in Antananarivo, Madagascar.

Published on the occasion of FOUR SEASONS, Benjamin Loyauté's monographic exhibition presented at Hakanto Contemporary in 2024 and curated by Rina Ralay Ranaivo, this publication extends the artist's research and reflections beyond the exhibition space.
Exploring cycles, territories and climatic transformations through the lens of his experiences in Madagascar, the book offers insight into a body of work that navigates between installation, moving image and sound. Through this multidisciplinary approach, Benjamin Loyauté develops a sensitive inquiry into the fragile relationships between environment, communities and contemporary imaginaries.
