HERE WE CARRY ALL THE DREAMS OF THE WORLD
I am nothing.
I shall never be anything.
I cannot wish to be anything.
Apart from that, I carry within me all the dreams of the world.
- Fernando Pessoa
Here is here. From here, we look at the world. From here, we dream the world too.
Let us dream, let us speak of dreams, let us dream - For it is through dreaming that we may affirm a new Malagasy breath through the creative forms of the present, in dialogue with artists and forms of expression from elsewhere.
Within this proposition, there are no fixed mediums. The exhibition embraces a polyphony of forms, playing with time, its illusions and its realities.
The menu is not fixed. The menu knows no borders.
Chef Lalaina Ravelomanana sets the tone by revisiting a popular Malagasy dish to the rhythm of Kristel's Nofy Rock.
The context is play, diversity and rules.
The eternal duo from Istanbul, :mentalKLINIK, reinvent a new love, a new game of love, alongside the newly drawn words of Môssieur Njo.
Through a diversity of lines, the young designer Domi Sanji intertwines his territories in dialogue with Alexandre Gourçon and his infinite folds.
Ramily, the father of contemporary Malagasy photography, somewhat forgotten over time, steps back into the light through his emblematic series poised between desert landscapes and luxuriant vegetation.
Visual artist Donn installs his work somewhere between nightmare and tenderness, just as choreographer Judith Manantenasoa speaks of the gentleness of chaos.
All of this is immersed in our restless Malagasy melancholy through a continuous literary dialogue between Jean-Joseph Rabearivelo and Elie Rajaonarison.
Improbable encounters to inspire and surprise.
Craftsmanship meets song. Photography becomes a dress. Words become canvases.
Let us weave literature. Let us light the fires. Let us dance architecture. Let us speak of couture. Let us dress the present.
Let us embroider cuisine and breathe in the scent of flowers.
Dreams are my reality, another kind of reality. The dreams of Iarivo. The dreams of the world.
Let us drift.
Let us dream.
For here, in Madagascar, we carry all the dreams of the world.
