This publication marks the release of the first book by Andrianina Rajoelisoa, known as Joely. With Ifalio Ny Maraina, a collection of nearly one hundred poems, the artist extends and deepens his creative practice through writing.

Through a voice that is intimate, direct and unadorned, Joely reveals a poetic universe shaped by emotions, vulnerabilities and the realities of contemporary Malagasy society.

A long-standing artistic companion of Hakanto Contemporary, Joely reached a significant turning point during HISTOIRES DE FAMILLE, the institution's inaugural season, in which he participated through the exhibition JOELY SY ANDY.

He continues this exploration today as part of FEO, the third season of Hakanto Contemporary, curated by Joël Andrianomearisoa.

Ifalio Ny Maraina thus forms part of an ongoing body of work in which image, performance and writing engage in a sincere and continuous dialogue.

This publication brings together the writings of Elie Ramanankavana in LITERA A, a collection of chronicles written in the midst of the socio-political events that unfolded in Madagascar in September 2025.

At the intersection of literature, journalistic observation and artistic sensibility, these texts capture, in real time, the tensions, silences and impulses that shaped a defining moment in the country's recent history.

A long-standing artistic companion of Hakanto Contemporary, Elie Ramanankavana notably participated in MOTHER, presented during HISTOIRES DE FAMILLE, the inaugural season of Hakanto Contemporary's new venue in September 2024.

Today, he is part of FEO, curated by Joël Andrianomearisoa, through the work Sans voix.

LITERA A extends this presence into the literary realm, giving written form to a voice that is situated, lucid and deeply rooted in lived reality.
